Drive chain play

Hi folks ,
had my FZ6 3 weeks now and doing some basic checks , chain play was only about 30mm manual shows 45-55mm , ive adjusted to around 45mm but it seems a bit more play than i thought it should be , i take it the 45mm is correct on an 04 plate bike ?

Yes, 45-55mm is the spec, 30mm is too tight.

The easiest way to (approximately) check the tension that it I've found is to find the tight spot, then bring that to the middle-top position. Push up with your finger, if it bounces off the swing-arm then it's too loose :thumbup
