Rossi (spoiler)
#21
Quote:perhaps this might change your mind. clearly MM went into Rossi twice.

Eh?  The footage that that links to shows Marc trying repeatedly to try and take the turn as Rossi runs him wide and just about off the track.

That footage clearly shows exactly why Rossi should have been disqualified.

Rossi got off very lightly.

So Lorenzo says that Rossi's punishment is not enough, take Malasia's points off him,,,now hang on there Mr Lorenzo , Rossi is you team mate,,you are playing with fire now,,Yamaha racing pays you a million to race,,you will lose your job and be replaced by Bradley and goto Honda where everyone will hate you more..haha, suicide.l

So will Yamaha sack Lorenzo after Valencia ?  pay him out,,,send him away into the wilderness .

Wonder if Rossis appeal has anything to do with Lorenzo's decision, lets face it if Rossi gets a stay of execution and beats Lorenzo only to lose the title due to the courts decision it will be a very hollow victory

I dont often get the chance watch moto GP but i watched this race and was really enjoying it......even my missus popped up from behind her ipad at times to watch the battle between 3rd & 4th place & regardless of who was holding up who it was those 2 that the cameras were following & that is entertainment.

For the layman......ie me......all this teams nonsense is what spoils sports like this & F1...,,drivel about who was using team tactics and who was deliberately holding up who for points etc....all that shit......its just for the sponsors...thats foccing boring i couldnt care less about that stuff.......whats wrong with having 1 racer per team on track at a time or am i being a simpleton.....why does everything have to end up being a bloody team sport.....it isnt football.....foc teamwork this is biking people just get on it and go balls out& stop being little bitches.

And for the record...imo...rossi wqs a dickhead.....just because you are popular doesnt make it inexcusable.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

That's an odd thing to say, can you remember what happened when they were team mates in 2009/10? Rossi wanted the wall built between them. Rossi decided to move to Ducati in 2011, which turned out to be a massive mistake.

My take on this event is maybe Marquez is thinking he has had a crap year because his bike was rubbish at the start of the year so just wanted to let Rossi & Lorenzo know he is now back on form and watch out next year.  Played around with them, even Lorenzo at PI, let him get a lead then catch him up with a fastest lap at the end.

In 2010 Rossi was out of the title race because he broke his leg. When he came back he wanted to show he was still the greatest and rode at Motegi to prove it. ok, he finished 3rd not 1st, but he had to beat the new world champion elect, Lorenzo.
Lorenzo was ahead in the points, Pedrosa was out because of a busted collar bone, but even so, Rossi was still bashing fairings with Lorenzo. If Lorenzo had gone down and bust a leg he could still have lost the title.
I don't think Rossi would have given a shit, just like Marquez doesn't give a shit who wins this year, he is just out to prove he can beat them all.

Back to Sepang, whos to say if Marquez didn't crash he wouldn't have then caught up the leaders starting from the next lap and won again, just like at PI.

Lorenzo has the pace over Rossi, so Yamaha will not be letting Lorenzo go in a hurry.  Team mates don't have to get along in racing.

Rossi will ride with Yamaha for another year, well becuase he is Rossi and as long as he can hang in there at the front, well you know it's good for publicity, the legend and all that - it sells bikes.  But at some time they need to look forwards and start looking for a new team mate for Lorenzo and somebody who can potentially win world champions ships now and in the future.

Bottom line, Rossi is still performing but for how long, he's not a young man any more.

Rossi does nothing without calculating it.  He didn't mean for Marquez to come off, that was a miscalculation, or a fvck-up in our language.

Before the race, he could finish directly behind Lorrenzo in the next two races and be world champion.  Marquez could stop him doing that, so he started the mind games; you want to help Lorenzo, you're interfering with the championship.  Even the gesticulating during the race, all planned and calculated to make sure Marquez finished either behind Rossi, or in front of Lorenzo.

And the punishment by race control was a stroke of genius; Rossi would have to beat Lorenzo at Jarez, but it looked like a non-punishment to Rossi fans.

Rossi was unlucky Marquez came off, but (as a massive Rossi fan), he should have had his points taken off him.
