Ok not quite to my taste....possibly because i can see the bits that have obviously been put on for spec but will be the first thing a new owner changes....rear number plate holder, indicators, gaps for stuff etc...plus everyone knows i have no taste.........but a bloody nice clean fazer though aint it.......a bottom up rebuild project like that id value any day just because it has been stripped and every part has been touched, fettled or looked at.
And it has seen parts of Wales that even the Goblins havent touched.......mainly hedges though :lol
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

White not really my thing, but does look nice. Why do you keep calling it Hedgetrimmer THREE?
Nice to see the bike back to roadworthy condition though. Look after it, it likes to be fed once in a while with twigs, leaves, tarmac scrapings etc :thumbup What happened to the Scorpion can that you cut down? Was it silly loud?

Not to sound like an anorak but do you have to declare a colour change to the bike? If so is it simple to do?

If I remember rightly, it says on the V5 that the bike is red, which was it's original colour. If Mike is right, and the yellow paint job it had when mine was commissioned by Yamaha UK, they (or the original selling dealer when new) weren't too bothered. The paint code under the seat is for a red bike. I did actually declare on my last insurance on it that the bike had had a colour change, but they didn't seem particularly interested. But as far as I'm aware, you are supposed to declare it as a matter of legality. The V5 should be sent to DVLA to have it changed. I never bothered either though.

Yeah mine says red too but it's got a silver front fairing, I never bothered about it but wondered if I ever get round to painting it all if I needed to tell the dvla

Nobody will care. P.S. Nobody in their right mind would change a fast red bike for a slow silver one anyway :lol |
