Battery for FZS 1000 '53 plate
#1
Hi all
i need a new battery. I went to Halfords on Sunday and bought a battery for my bike as the old one had had its day. I checked the sheet in Halfords and walked out the proud owner of a new battery. I added the acid as per the instructions, charged it for 24 hrs, and head held high walked out to my bike and put it in the slot where the old battery was. well i tried to.....it was too wide!!!  :lol
so im about to order one online but want to make sure i get one that fits! do i get YT14B-4 or KT14B-4........or something entirely different!!
cheers in advance

I don't know where you are , but I got a genuine Yamaha battery from Fowlers for £60 , it was a sealed battery , no need to top it up with distilled water , you just need to top up the charge . Alternatively try Wemoto .

Motobat batteries are very good and have a bit more punch than most batteries (I have one on the fazer atm)

I made the same mistake from halfords, as my bike is high mileage and is a cat D it won't be worth a lot so I modified the rear of the air box to fit it, I couldn't return mine as I had had it too long.

Just for your information the Yuasa has higher cranking power for starting than the Motobat
