Taped up headlight on an import?

This may sound daft, but what is meant by this?  I have an import fzs 600, obviously with an M.O.T. But see no signs of tape on the inside/outside edge of the headlamp!  Where should I look for this?

park the bike facing a wall in the dark and check to see if the light flicks up to the left or right.

If its to the right, you have euro headlights on there. The previous owner may have just adjusted them down to get through the MOT though meaning the amount of road lit up by the glow worms is even less than normal.
