Right hotel booked, bike checked over, alarm set, gonna leave mine at 6.30am and meet Red at 8.

Going to be a good couple of days (for me), all the forecasts I've seen are pretty good with some rain but hey we've all got waterproofs.

Route couldn't be simpler Paul. A40 to St. Clears, then A4066 down through Laugharne to Pendine. Google says 3 1/2 hrs from me, plus breaks. Or M4=3hrs, but I'm sure no one wants to go motorway do they?

Good opportunities for rest stops en route. I usually stop briefly at Ross, services just outside the town. Then Oasis café at Abergavenny, then West End Café at Llandovery. Can smell the eggs and bacon now - the only reason I'm coming really  :lol

Morning

pretty murky down here, still blowing 25knots on the gusts, south westerly, 1 decent shower in the last hour though so if it continues that way then not too bad....it is warm :\

also looks like it will be nice by 2100 tonight :lol

BBC Wales forecast reckons could be the odd shower, improving as the day goes on. Doesn't look bad.

Was worth going. Bit of a shower around Cheltenham, got a bit wet and blowy for a time at Pendine, cold with it (foccin July  :rolleyes), but not bad all told. A nice mild ride home (M4  :z), 355 miles for me. Nice to get together once again, Paul, Ceri, Bri.

Bloody Bridgestones have got to go; 2nd time they've slid out on me in the wet. Not that anything would have gripped on that diesel slick on the A40.

Dubious characters at the Oasis, Abergavenny:

Laugherne castle - everyone running on fumes by this time:

And a few shots to give a taste of the day:

And poor, blurry attempts to catch the actual Bluebird and Napier (?) runs (foccin cold wind howling across the beach didn't make things easier):

Home at 10.30, 451 miles for me.......thanks for keeping me company guys  :thumbup....cars looked great on the sands, think they were restricted on what they could do by their owners, just a slow pass, would have been good to see them at speed ........
a good day with good company.....lots of miles for a weekday,7.30 am start tomorrow  :\...not looking forward to that.....
