Return to Yamaha
#1
Helloo everyone. Had an '98 FZS600, went to a 06 BMW k1200S, now back to a yam 08 FZ1S. Why - it's far easier to live with than the B'EM. No complicated stuff like on board computers, servo brakes and all that expensive servicing, yet still good fun and sooo usable.
Found this site, exited the k12 forum and now I'm here! so hi again.

Incidentally, anyone know of a set of genuine red yam hard case panniers or alternatively anyone know if the lids can be successfully resprayed (my ones are scuffed)
Thanks

Hi Faz, welcome back mate......so you finally seen sense then......there's quite allot of folk miving over to BMW now with those s1000r beasts.....they are nice...but like you i hear people say that the BMW's can be very complicated and troublesome so i suppose you gotta have mega bucks in reserve to foot the bills of running one.......much the same as these top of range BMW cars i suppose......hmmm hence i drive a skoda :\

Im not sure about your panniers but i have an 08 FZ1 also & it is a quick machine.

Have you got any mods and how do you find the throttle at slow speeds such as powering on while going round roundabouts as mines a tad snatchy....ive got used to it.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
