Airbrushing..
#1
It's harder than it looks, well, for me at least.
Started a course on bike painting last week, it's good, ( I'm shit at anything like art) everything covered included custom work and pinstriping( properly, with a brush by hand) so I can do a pukka show paint job on my z1b rep.
Hadta do three days getting used to an airbrush then paint this board...getting used to doing the " dagger strokes" took me an age, but turned out ok. I was particularly chuffed with the nut and bolt and chain link( all masks traced out and cut by hand with a scalpel) ..me birds face looks a bit "rodenty" (didn't define her jaw line enough and did the nose too thin) but she still looks "doable" ( well too an un fussy old git like me anyhoo)..
So if anybody wants bugs bunny pulling his knob of on his helmet, or some rusty louvres on their tank, I'm your man..

Looking forward to next week, doing rep seventies paint jobs...

Ha ha Ogri that me me chuckle......watch out for the PC police :lol

What a cool thing to do....& by the sounds if things just for the fun of it and so you can do your own bikes rather than doing some shit boring course in IT to better your career or whatever.....but the more you see it as fun then the more you'll want to do it and then you'll get better and better so who onows you could have a little sideline going.

Thanks bill, in truth I was horrendous at it, but mick ( the feller who runs "paint my ride"), is. A brilliant teacher, and unbelievably patient. But a late one every night to get done..earliest we have finished is 7 pm

That looks good, love the Bugs Bunny. Would've loved an Iron Maiden themed bike when I was younger, but cost loads back then.

Which Richmond? Yorks or Surrey. I was one of his first pupils
