Just trying to judge whether he did hit a pothole or went in to fast on a greasy road /went a bit wide /hit a white line & the front washed out(in the vicinity of a pothole).
Either way I'm glad he's okay - even though he tried to sue the truck driver? :eek
Paradox - A bit like paracetamol but different.

Carnt he sue the pothole
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

It looks like the rider over cooked it mto me

If you over cook it then you over cook it and go wide --- why is his inside leg out

Because he grabbed so much brake he dragged his leg for stability=perhaps

Looked at this again a few times and he was wider that the other rider - both feet on pegs -- still a bit wide - leg came out, bit of a panic grabed front brake ON WHITE LINE then went down when lorry gos past the corner there is a bit of a pot hole but I dont think it was in the riders path

I think he was in the wrong position in the road on his approach, by the point we first see him or her they should have been lent over near the central white line going around the bend in the best position for the best observations. I ll wait for comments from those advanced riders.

Whats clear is that it isnt clear---- I thought those cameras were sposed to be good

Just throwing my opinion out there - looks like he overcooked it a bit in the bend then to his surprise sees an oncoming truck. The result is a bit of target fixation and in trying to avoid a collision (which would probably have been damn close) lost the front end of the bike sending it skidding in to the path of the truck
If the truck hadn't of been there, the biker would likely have gotten round the bend, maybe crossing the white line slightly, but I doubt he would have lost control. To me it seems like a typical mistake that we have all done once before by not reading the road properly, but this guy unfortunately didn't get off as easily as only a new pair of underwear required

Slightly hot into the corner and then target fixation on the truck is my view. There may be some surface roughness on the road, but he looked well into panic mode by then.

Lorryist?
When the feck did truck drivers become lorryists? :rolleyes

It's difficult to tell, but I'm pretty sure he's already losing it before we see him. I think he's come into the bend too fast and then grabs a handful of brake when he sees the lorry causing him to drop it.
He's damned lucky to be alive and damned stupid to try to sue the driver! PS Of course what he *should* have done is used the Limit Point to judge his speed into the bend, instead of possibly trying to follow his mate through, then counter-steered it rather than going for the brake and getting target-fixated on the truck, but that's easy to say when it's not happening to you *RIGHT NOW*!! ![]()

Failed to negotiate left hand bend-approach speed/-position prior to bend? :eek :eek-braking? Very lucky to live to(hopefully) learn from it. Sue the truck driver!!-now that is taking the p**s!

Saw this on the manufacturers website the other day whilst researching in car dvr's.
Think it may be better quality http://www.smartwitness.co.uk/section/321/1 I'd go for panic/target fixation. You wip round a blind corner and a 44 tonner is coming the other way :eek The only thing that's been said that is 100% correct is that he is lucky to be alive.

On narrow or single carriageway roads, allow double the distance because an on-coming vehicle will need *its* stopping distance too.

Surely the left leg coming out was the "Doctor's Dangle"
