amazing price for fuel.So what do you think the trip cost you except spending money ?
I did set up a trip to picos and pyrenees which worked out around £800 for 9 days, all accomodation , including ferry to spain.
The way the weather is acting up, I may still yet go on that !  :'(

must admit spain is getting  one of the few destinations with any sort of guarenteed dry weather.

My only concern with US is the long flight .I am still surprised any bike trip to the states withflight and  bike hire canbe cheaper than a jaunt to europe ?

JK ,I dont believe its possible  to compare a fazer to a GS, completely different bikes in almost every respect.I dont even consider either a competitor for each other. They do very different things.I wouldnt run a GS or a fazer now as my only bike. Both come very close to being " best allrounder" , but viewed from different spectrums.I aint gonna prattle on with the finer points of my argument here, but suffice to say its an opinion based now on a reasonable period and mileage and different types of riding. Its " popular" to knock the GS, but it does what it says on the tin, its just the owner has to decide just what his" tin" actually is !

For me the only bike seat which is truly comfy was my 1050 sprint. ALL other bikes are planks IMO, after a period of time. So I just use an airhawk for long runs.
