acumen horn

fitted one of those ACUMEN horns last night,advertised as being very loud ,i think 130 db,bit disappointed with the sound and its not as loud as i would like...would be more at home on my grandaughters tricycle  :'(
One, is never going to be enough.....

Red you must be a deaf as me then  :o .


I bought one last year after all the raving on here (and it comes in a nice little tin), and its no louder than the standard farty thing. Internet forums, not always full of good advice  :rolleyes .

pardon,what was that  :o :o :o .....yep same as standard horn,does the job and at £6 was cheap.......iam thinking fog horn...if the pesky cagers cant see me i want to make sure they can hear me  :rolleyes

I have the Stebel Magnum and cant fault it. The Stebel nautilus is even louder but that's a air horn.
Biking is about the Journey NOT the Destination...

I did exactly the same cos of that thread, but still haven't got around to fitting it!
Guess I won't bother now  Sad at least its a job I can cross off my to do list!
But the tin is great, currently keeping all my screwdriver bits in one place  Smile

its a good standard horn for £6 its just that a want a really loud one......i`ll have to spend a bit more money  Wink

I had a steel nautilus but that melted on the fire bike, now got a cheaper Chinese copy, just as loud, 1/3 of the price, bloody brilliant, for full db you must install it with a relay directly powered to the battery, easy enough and on these bikes fit neatly under the left fairing infill!

I have emailed stebel regarding there new Marine version of the nutalus compact  several times and they cant be bothered to reply !
anyway Some bloke just knocked on my door and gave me these

there from a BMW e30 which he is helping set up to race ? any good ?  Im guessing the'll be fine with the ight wiring ?
