Diablo Rosso tyres?
#1
Morning all.

I've currently got some Maxxis Supermaxx tyres on my bike, and I'm not a huge fan. The wear is really good, but I don't feel confident on them. The grip isn't brilliant, and despite not leaning over that far, there are no chicken strips on the rear tyre. They're only half worn for the moment, but I want to be well informed when it comes to changing time.

I had Pirellis on my 125, and loved them. I was wondering if anyone had fitted the Diablo Rossos to theirs, and could comment on handling / wear etc?

Thanks!

Had a set of diablos fitted to my xt600 when I converted it to supermoto. Massive grip, great round the twisties, good in wet but didnt last very long maybe 5k on the rear(Although I had bought them part worn as per usual). Whats wrong with the supermaxx Christo, I think they are a good tyre? If its you wanting to get your knee down, its you not themĀ  Wink

Oh, the banter!!

I find that they aren't as grippy asI'd like. The recent heavy rain did leave me more nervous than I'd like to be.

As for knee down, I'm already taking the rear to the edge of the rubber, and still a way off... At least the suspension has been improved.

I ran the Supermaxx sports on my Fazer, which are a fantastic tyre, Until i changed to Pirelli Diablo Rosso II 's which are amazing in wet and dry! they grip like sh1t to a blanket Smile go for them, you wont regret it Smile

Im getting some diablo rosso 2 in may when i go to scotland, they've been thoroughly recommended to me by a few folks now, cant wait as ive been practicing on the budget michellins that came with the bike & i dont even think they are that bad.

Everyone says that some new rubber can transform a bike so outta all the fettling & fiddling with this that & the next thing i fully expect the tyre upgrade to make the greatest improvement.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
