Sprocket gearing changes FZS600
#1
Has anyone changed front/rear sprockets and if so what was the effect and was it worth it? Thanks

Cheapest modification you can make. I dropped from standard 16 down to 15 tooth on the front and it made a noticable difference to acceleration. However there are a couple of trade off's, clocks will be out, top end reduced and more noise.....well worth it though.

Figures quoted on Pats with an ivans kit 0-60 takes 2.63 seconds and 0-100 takes 5.57. I haven't tested the accuracy but it feels pretty close

I went up two at the back and 1 down at the front, give it a fistfull and the front will come up.  You'll sacrifice top end but if you stay below 3 figures most of the time it wont matter.
The speedo will not be out because it's driven  from the front wheel. Not like the FZS1000 which runs off the gearing.
