Hi All,
After being taken as a Pillion by one of my mates, I was Hooked.
Passed my Full bike Test in Nov 2002, aged 26 - went out and bought my lovely Fazer two weeks later for £3000, (2 year old bike for £3k - How times have changed!) Using my credit card, with the idea of it being a good bike to learn the craft on... Then upgrading to something 'better' later on... Well, I never looked back and never did change it as it is such a great bike as you all know, it can keep up with the fast boys where necessary, but nowadays have backed the pace down (just a bit...). The Fazer Truly is an awsome bike! Returning to Foccers after a long delay (probably been a 'sleeping' member for most of those 10 years), but glad to be back!!
Got a few tales to tell about the last 10 years owning a Fazer... and riding other bikes.
Track Days, Tyres, Oopsies, Maintenance etc... And even a pillion lap with Alex Lowes round Snetterton, (No not on the Fazer!!)
But I'm now doing more & more maintenance (and accident repair) myself due to saving a few pennies, and I'd like to pass on tips I've picked up along the way and tap on the wealth of knowledge on Foc-u, as my what I know how to do and what I don't ratio is definitely on the Low Side!!!
I might get another bike one day, but won't be selling my Fazer...
Anyway, happy Foccing for now!
Fubar!!!
