electrical? HELP
#1
The battery is showing a full charge, yet when i hit the starter button the motor is just about turning over. There is a noisy tapping sound coming from a small box situated just behind the battery, I know nothing about electrics so help is needed.I have a meta alarm fitted!.the battery is about a year old. :\

The noise is likely to be the starter relay dropping out when the battery is presented with the large electrical load of the starter motor. If the battery is OK, then the problem may be loose or corroded connections between the battery. Check everything is clean and tight.

If your 100% sure the battery is ok then its probably a lose connection.
But I would re check the battery.

Have you tested the battery voltage with a meter?

What were the readings?

Sounds very much like low battery voltage.

From experience battery chargers can tell you that a battery is fully charged even if one of the cells is dead, which sounds like it could be the issue especially if the bikes been left outside over winter with the alarm armed.
