Gen 1 2003 Fazer Thou For Sale
#1
Hi All,

My trusted commuter has to go as I have decided to throw in the towel commuting into London.
I have two small kids and feel the risk is too high to be riding into central London and around the M25 on a daily basis.
I did get punted off it on the M11 in traffic in 2009 so it was a cat C due to front fairing headlight and a few scuffs. I have photos to show the damage at the time so you can see it wasn't serious. I have been using it ever since I replaced all the broken parts.

The bike is a 2003 Silver 1000. It has got 52,000 miles on the clock and has been ridden all year around so it isn't the prettiest out there. With obvious signs of corrosion and the normal engine paint flaking problems.

Saying that it is mechanically 100%.

It has just had the forks re-chromed and rebuilt with heaver Hagon fork springs. (cost me £350)
Brand new front and rear brake pads.
It has had a brand new Hagon rear shock, jack up plates and new Bridgestone BT020 in the last 300 miles.
Chain and sprockets 2000 miles old.
I bought a set of exhaust downpipes off a 2000 mile bike with the powervalve etc in so that is as good as it is going to get as well. I put new cables on at the same time. This was done at the same time as the chain and sprockets.
It has just been MOTed.

It has heated grips, neoprene bar muffs, higher rise Renthal bars, flip up screen, scottoiler, Givi rack and top box, neoprene shock guard, neoprene fork gators, engine crash bars

I'm looking for £1650 for it.

Drop me a mail at davekeeble2010@hotmail.com if you are interested.

Thanks for reading.

So tell me what is wrong with this bike, over 100 views and no comments?

Is it too expensive or does no one need a commuter?

Interested in feedback to give me an idea of whether I have got the price wrong.

Cheers

Dave

Post some pictures up, that always helps (the more the better with plenty of detail of condition etc, upload them to photobucket et al then link them in to your post). When and who did the servicing, valves would have been due at 48K (were they done). Also rough area of country (The M11 runs through a few counties).

Cheap bike that is, especially with the new shock, I'd have been interested if I'd not just bought one, pictures mean a thousand words, I've never failed to sell a bike but have always included large high res images in the advert.

The only cheaper ones for sale at the minute are unroadworthy accident damaged ones, good luck with the sale Smile

Dave has asked me to post these pictures of his bike on here. I would have bought it but found one a bit closer to home. Good price for a bike with hugger, crash bars, top box & muffs!
