PC3 maps for FZ1
#1
My FZ1 already had a Power commander 3 USB fitted and the guy I bought it from has a pre-loaded map installed.

Well, I fancy a play about and wondered if there are any good maps that you peeps have? I've not uploaded one to the bike before but it seems easy enough....I have the lead and the software etc.

My bike has crippling fuel economy and I guess that's mostly due to it being a much bigger bike than my trusty FZS600 but I also suspect the mapping. At the VERY best, I get 120 miles on motorway riding from a full tank to the reserve flashing and I reckon it can do better.

I don't want an all economy map as that's not what I use this bike for. Ideally I want a map that doesn't sap the power but offers the best throttle response possible....not sure if the PC3 can affect throttle response or if that's just inherent to the bike though??

Any advice/help/suggestions welcome. It has a full Mivv stubby system fitted & Ivans FCE as extras that may need to be considered  Big Grin

Hi bud, if you have a wee look here there are a load of maps available under Duken's posts in his signature.
Mine may even be amongst them.

120 to a tank is pretty good for an fz1 mate after all its a propper bike Wink not like them old timing fazer thou touring bikes :rollin :lol :lol  joking aside though power comanders are for optimising your afr not for tuning for mid range, top end or better mpg optimising your afr through your rev range and the engine will be performing the best it can on all peramitors,a generic map from dynojet or one downloaded from someone else isent ideal you need your bike on a dyno and a custom map created
