Indicator repair advice needed
#1
Just had a 'drop the bike' moment and the right hand indicator is still working, but the base has become detached from the fairing.

I'm not very strong and haven't been able to either push or pull the base of the indicator back through the (now cracked) hole. So, my question is this.....

....is it possible just to 'pop' the base back into position, or will it need glueing, sticking etc?

Hey, Sorry to be not in the least technical here but are your indicators "sticky-outy" or moulded into the fairing?

Alrite Helen.

Did the indicator damage the hole alot?

If you take the fairing infill off you should see that you have to unscrew the backing plate off the indicator before you push it back in.

Ah, thanks for that. Will get the screwdrivers out and have a go!

As for damage, it's not the first time it's been down on that  side (in my defence I've had the bike quite a while :o ) so there's already a couple of small cracks around the indicator hole, but I think there's enough plastic left!!

both my indicators are held in place by copious amounts of Araldite where the fairing has been damaged around the indicators.  :\
