took carbs apart now I have one spare spring... help

doing a full restoration on my fzs 600 98 and I took the carbs apart to polish them and clear a blockage stopping one cylinder getting no fuel, when I went to put them back together im left with this spring in the photo.. no clue where it goes. even looked up the schematic and cant seem to see it. anyone have an idea, cheers

1. it goes onto the idle adjusting screw
   
2. or it's one of the springs between the carbs, on the linkages
   
3. or elsewhere.... 
   

Tell us later, which was it.
