just had my mot , passed but with advisory on front wheel bearings . guy said to avoid cheap wheel kits as they will not last. suggested SKF or FAG bearings, but on ebay i cant see any of those specific makes theres mostly NTN that seem cheap on price and kind of what he said to avoid, theres some CHALLENGE kits £30 and various more pricey kits from USA germany.
as SKF and FAG dont sell directly any advice on good bearing kit makes and where anyone has got them from before? any help appreciated
TIA
Get the bearing and seal numbers and go buy what you need from your local anti friction components, they're way cheaper and only supply quality bearings.
I always replace wheel and head bearings with low friction carbon ceramic ones as soon as I buy a bike. Never had one fail yet.

ok thanks for both answers , thanks for the bearing numbers , im assuming that these anti friction suppliers will also have the seals too on the shelf ?
Most bearing suppliers will have seals, if not in stock they can order it.
They are the rights sizes. Would you not try locally first as you wold have them immediately as they are a common bearing
that is kind of local to me whychbearings i live in a small town so we dint have an engineering company within the town itself, the other thing is the seal is made in the czec republic so unsure of its quality but i guess its only function is as a dust seal really so not ultra important. the bearing on the other hand is FAG so good quality
