Apologies - I've been away working, first at Goodwood Aerodrome and then at Lydd Airport. Got back to Worcester this afternoon.

Donington Park yesterday trackday, never seen so few riders on a trackday, only 11 in advanced, I reckon many were over in the IOM for the TT. Plenty of room in my group too (inters). The site perimeter was being set up for Download, reminded me of when me and the wife wen to the first Monsters of Rock there just before we married, I think it was 1979. Pissed own most of the day but stopped early evening. Can remember all of the bands that played but Blackfoot (American), Blue Oyster Cult (American) come to mind because they were boring. Best band on the bill? Slade.

That was when the festivals had decent line-up's!

Going to the ABR at the end of the month. The music line up is quite good, with several long established tribute bands, having seen a lot of them on many occasions. Rolling Stoned, Who’s Next, Limehouse Lizzie, just to name a few. Just got to hope it stays dry as the weather makes or breaks a camping event.

Some of the tribute really are very good. Last year we caught a band called Very Santana at Buxton Opera House, really good if you like Santana's music.

ABR isn't far from me - Ragley Hall if I'm correct.
Doesn't count as an Adventure Bike Ride lol.
Yep, Ragley Hall. I expect the Fazer will be out of place among knobbly tyred GS’s and T7’s, but to my mind if you’re on your bike going on an adventure, then it’s an adventure bike.???

The organiser was having a go at me on the first coffee break says we have one fellow who brought a knife to a gunfight, meaning me an my Fazer 600. We stopped for lunch after going through some dodgy roads and tracks and down hill sections and two fellows on Gs's who I just knew to see approached me and one said it was great with me ahead of them because if I got through it they should be able to also. The other fellow said if we didn't it would have been fairly embarrassing. I went again this year on the 1000, but the roads were not as bad just one 3mile section of pure gravel. Scary on the 1000 but got through without out dropping it despite a few attempts ![]() Enjoy being the odd one out ![]()

Sounds like it’s (not) the road of bones. Where’s your support vehicles?
