Looking at the Fazer 8, couple nice ones out there. I'd lose my license in about a week if I even thought about an FZ1. Not been on here for a few years as I've been in the world of Triumph (Bonneville 1st, now Street Triple R) but 600 Fazer was my 1st big bike so always had a fondness for them.
Based on my 2000 600 Fazer then my later 2006 FZ Fazer6 I'm hoping the Fazer 8 is from the same stable. I've read it's the perfect mix between the 600 & 1000.
Any advice anyone?

Anyway despite being ignored for my Triumph betrayals I've stuck down a deposit on a 2013 Fazer 8 with 12k on the clock so I'm off over to that forum now.
Hoping the bike is all I anticipate it to be.
The Fazer 8 is indeed an excellent bike. The only thing I found dislikeable was the standard exhaust, far too quiet.
For me, I went with suspension upgrades front (Andriani) and rear (Nitron) (personal preference) K&N filter, scorpion serkit silencer (works better with db killer) +10mm higher bars and a gel seat insert.
150 miles to a tank, plenty of torque and goes ballistic at 7k and comfortable enough for a 400 mile day, what more do you need.
