a mate on the busa club has a jota he bought off the feller from "the stud" films , oliver tobias. He calls the bike joan Collins, for obvious reasons

Same fella just sold this.  Imported, but just tidied up and given a comprehensive service.  He was asking 8.5K

Seriously, those big Laverdas, to me, are just bone achkingly gorgeous.

My pal is a dyed in the wool Laverda/BSA fanatic, having several of both. He was on the waiting list when Slaters were bringing in a limited number of SFC's, in the early 80's. Initially he lost out when the bikes were allocated to those on the list, but someone higher up the list cancelled, and my pal was first reserve so to speak. The dilemma then became, if I ride the bike as I want to, it will depreciate in value. If I don't ride it, what's the point of owning it. In the late 90's it financed a new Speed Triple, when the single swing arm model came out.

A Fzs 1000 on Facebook today,  o5, 1 owner from new 2500 miles with many  extras and in very good condition.
Private seller wants £4000 ovno . He is confident he can get it.Looking on Ebay and once again there are a few over £3000, even 1 at £3500.Also noticed there are 4 06 registered bikes which surprised me, all of them over £3000.I bought my 06 registered bike in March 16 with 15000 miles for £3000. I have done all the usual mods and spent about £800, wonder what my bike is worth?
