Heads up if your after a fz1..Peterborough auction
#1
Had to drop a dealer mates gixxer thou at the block yesterday at Peterborough For Friday's auction, and they have ten identical all black ( including proper Yamaha fairing lowers) fz1s. All stock aside from heated grips and calibrated clocks, so it's a reasonable assumption they are ex police or similar, ie well maintained and possibly high mileage. Dunno if they will put all ten in but they will do at least a few, bikes look ok and kinda stealthy, could be a good buy for someone. Aside from that they have loads of bikes going through, mostly black horse repos or end of pcp deals, so worth a look if your after summat

Do you have any comeback with auction bikes or is it all pretty much the same as buying auction cars - can look over it, see/hear it ride in and then bid away.
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.

I believe they are like car auctions in that respect. That said, buying an ex-plod vehicle will normally be problem free apart from the extra holes they put in cars to fit their kit. Mechanically they will be 100% even with 1,000,000 miles on the clock as they get serviced and maintained far better than joe blogs does theirs.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Called down again today chaps and spoke to the feller who logs them in.. Think two are going in the first auction, and there not plod but were leased to the government, well maintained although there's rust on the standard exhaust and not high miles (20kish) so looks much more likely they were fast response/special unit ops or summat, certainly look very tactical and cool In all black with them fairing lowers. ...
