Injunction taken out against bikers in Harlow
#1
WTF??

Quote:Bikers in Harlow are being warned about a new injunction that comes into force today banning them from taking part in unauthorised ride outs.

Ok, if people are ridiing stupidly or anti-socially, then doing something about it is ok. But punishing all bikers for the actions of an irresponsible minority??

I doubt the police would enforce that law if a group of motorcyclists passed through, but you can't blame them wanting to stop the little shits pissing everyone else off in the town, I think they should bring a mobile crusher into town and destroy the illegally ridden bikes on the spot.
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

Anti-social behaviour and deafening exhausts are already proscribed, why does the council think bringing in ill-defined rules like this is going to help? The way that reads it seems like any two vehicles heading in the same direction could be described as being a 'ride-out'.
FFS, just tell the police to do their foccing job and enforce the laws we have already.

My guess is that something was being organised by the local patch group. They seem to have been the biggest cause of grief where motorcycling is concerned in that area. The last planned MAG rally that I knew of in that area (Magna Carta, some years ago) was banned due to (rumours of?) trouble between them and the Angels. I don't know that they ever held another, but it had been a very successful and long-running event up till then.

EDIT: Nope, seems I was wrong, looks like it might be something to do with this:

Reading that suggests Marcel was riding illegally, possibly in a group, showing off in front of friends etc......at his age I was no angel.........but, never above the law in an anti social way.......not fearing a bollocking from the police....the  bollocking from my parents would have been a lot worse...........just my guess, I dont know the details  Wink

Magna Carta was never held again, cancelation cost MAG or the organisers of the event about £40k. The threat was real although I believe that I'm right in saying that HA USA had something to do with stopping the incident getting out of hand.
