So long story short,
I bought a set of Goldfren AD pads for the 1000, they were lackluster. I complained to Goldfren who sent me a set of S33's.
The issue I now have is those S33 are a bit to harsh on the discs, so what do people recommend? Will EBC HH give me the same bitye without the disc wear..?
ta.
How harsh are they?
I use ebc hh because they are pretty good and cheap. I don't find any wear issues on the disks.

I'm pretty sold on the OEM pads being about the best you can get, I think they are organic rather than sintered which will help with disc life too, but it sounds like you are pretty hard on your brakes in which case sintered is potentially the better option for you. I've only used EBC sintered, Carbone Lorraine are supposed to be good also. With me though I trail my brakes and don't tend to use them in anger so I don't get much disc wear but do end up glazing the sintered pads which makes them feel wooden. I am now using EBC organic pads which are not as good as the OEM ones but are better than glazed sintered pads. Don't know if that helps at all..............

I fitted Galfer FD178G front pads last year. They're supposed to reduce disc wear and give very progressive braking but the down side is they do lack some initial bite compared to EBC and OEMÂ pads. They were good over the Winter but with Spring here and Summer not far off I'm thinking of replacing them with EBC sintered.
