Hello from Finland
#1

Hi! I've been reading this forum quite a while now. Decided to register here a few days ago.

I have a blue 2001 model FZS600. Few mods and stuff I've done to her during last and 2015 winters:

- dual HID projectors 5000K. Those original halogens were poor... (http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,19671.0.html)
- LED lights in the instrument panel
- removed all the stickers (except tank Yamaha text because its under the lacquer finish)
- aftermarket end can (Danmoto JISU with baffle)
- sprockets and chain (D.I.D Gold VX 530, 16t front JT and rear Supersprox Stealth sprockets) an a new 12mm sprocket nut
- dark PUIG screen
- changed adjustable levers
- overhauled the brakes (new seals, pads etc.)
- made DIY Push button chain oiler
- made DIY pannier bags rack
- installed heat elements underneath original grips
- 12V power outlet on the inner front fairings
- sandblasted the exhaust manifold and applied a zinc coat to it and topped it with black heat resistant paint (yeah, snapped a few studs)
- because snapped exh. studs, engine was re-painted while it was off bike
- small restorations, painting and replacing rusted nuts, parts and so on..
- full overhaul, oils, sparkplugs, new battery, re-greased bearings and changed a few loose ones, new coolant and cleaned the cooling system, carb cleaning + balanced etc.
- raised the bike little with shorter dog bones
- cleaned the painted parts and waxed the hell out of them!
- and a lot of small things... this list would be long  Big Grin

I've attached two photos, the lower one is the condition when I bought it and the upper is the condition it was last autumn. I'll take some new shots of her and upload them as soon as I take 'em.

Treat everything in life the way a dog would- if you can't eat it or foc it, forget it.

I'll post some photos as soon as I take them. Have had quite a lot other things to do and Yamaha is just sitting and waiting the season to start.  Big Grin

I got my gear with me today at work - so today is the day when the season starts - hopefully  :faz
