I must admit I was a bit shocked at the lack of PPE, but each to their own. When ever I get my chain saw out, bike out, even petrol rotary mower out the PPE goes on. Petrol mower I hear you say... Even a small stone being kicked up by one of these hurts like fuck when it hits you on the big toe. If you don't want to wear it it's down to you. Plus I know what the Dragon is like and how it's bitten and burned other riders. The tree of shame is testament to that.  :eek

Here's me smashing up the Dragon a decade ago - with full PPE  :lol

Riders eye view of a straight bit.

Taking a break on the Cherohalo Skyway which is an equally awesome bit of track.

Luke's been a few more times than me but if money was no object I'd have been back there a few more times.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

don't you guys have nice mesh gear for hot weather.
remember a couple of years ago a USA guy posted pictures of his new summer gear.
very nice I commented wish we had them here.
it was a mixture of leather in vulnerable areas chest etc was partly mesh with fabric.
I don't know if you still can or not now.
found some here...

I got one of these. It was worth its weight in gold when temps get hot. Seeing Luke sweating his chods off in the 105+ temps... wearing leather!... priceless  Confusedun

Mine also came with 100% cyclone, waterproof, windproof out shell jacket. Both the inner liner and outer shell fit in the poachers pocket in the back of the mesh jacket. In terms of riding gear it's the most versatile bit of kit I have. With the quilted inner, mesh jacket and out shell combined you could wear this jacket in the Arctic. That's how good it is. Then when the snow melts, due to global warming, and the temps soar whip the shell and the liner out and you're good to go.
