Saw that earlier. Chuffed to bits for her having a decent chance for once.
Those are my principles...if you don't like them I have others.
Great news, Jenny you deserve it. Have a great season

I think this is great, she's battled away for years, good for her to be offered a factory ride!
Money doesn't buy happiness, but it buys beer, and that helps!
Good luck to her, it will be interesting to see how she goes on a decent bike.
It amazes me why anyone would spend a few years in BSB spending a load of their own money on uncompetitive bikes and taking a hammering.
I wonder how much that ride cost her and her sponsers.
What makes you think the ride has cost her or her sponsors anything? A lot of women are into biking now so I expect the interest this may generate may result in increased sales for Honda.
I am not a fan of Marie Costello's but she has decent support on the roads and has a loyal following. To be honest the real reason I am not a fan of Marie's is (not really her fault)she did a few laps round the TT and ends up getting an MBE for services to motorcycle sport, why because she has(tits and a fanny). I would have thought the likes of Michael Rutter would have been awarded an M.B.E by now, not saying he is a fanny, :eek takes some beating on either the roads , short circuit or Macau espeacially when it is wet.

I'm quite pleased for Jenny, she has a tough 2014 as previously mentioned and she had to cut her season short because of a lack of funding.
Most BSB riders quite often have to rally round money from personal sponsorship to pay a team for a place. Peter Hickman didn't get a ride at the start of 2014 due to lack of money. He did have a brilliant season though switching to the road racing scene with Ice Valley, and only took the place of poor Simon Andrews (RIP) in BSB with RAF Honda .....and still hasn't secured a BSB place this year despite his debut road racing successes and a first place in BSB last year.
This is must be one of the most unfair competitions in sport considering the dangers etc.....as I'm sure there is no foccer out there that would pay their employer for a job.
Good luck to Jenny but lets be realistic...she's not quick enough, she is a good club level rider but that doesn't cut it in BSB. I would love to see her do well but can't help thinking she will crash her brains out then be dropped at the end of the year.
The only woman to make the grade at this level in recent years is Cath Green in the 125s who won a round at Cadwell.
As much as I hate to say it I think Jenny got the ride because of her gender but it's Hondas money and they can do as they wish with it.

that is a really 1953 attitude Greg :lol
Its just a ride
No it isn't, you haven't read what I said, you've done the usual PC brigade thing. I stand by what I've said..Jenny is a good club level rider but not quick enough for BSB, at the end of the coming season we'll see Jennys results and if she makes the Showdown or even gets a podium I'll be the first to cheer but hand on heart I don't believe she will, there are few fairy tales in professional motorsport.

Jenny is a good club level rider but not quick enough for BSB,
That's a bit harsh, she got within 107.5% of the fastest in practise so that seems quick enough in my eyes

Some events she was closer to the fastest than that one.

She did the TT in a shade under 120, only 12mph slower than Anstey's all time record and I was there watching her do it - I reckon she'll do well in BSB and wish her all the best..
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."
