Well perhaps engaging in debates about Scotland in a forum will make those long winter evenings just fly by!!

Winter is a time to look for a place in the sun for a week or two as far as I'm concerned.  Have been to the Canaries and Madiera a couple of times each (both warm and dry with Tapas and Vino) I'd like a change and was wondering about Rhodes or Crete or Malta anyone had any winter hol experiences there?

This is as young as you're ever going to be!

Great idea!

Both sad and please to note the shortest day is passing.  Hopefully in a few weeks time, well a couple of months my Dad who has Alzheimers might stop getting up in the middle of night, getting dressed and waking my Mum telling her it's time to get up.

On the other hand I'm still not hill fit again, so the best walking of the year and that great winter light (when the sun does come out) is in danger of slipping away.  Getting not bad at the swimming though.

It is still not bad were I am in Spain. Buena Vista not far from Calpe, Moraira, Benissa, daytime temps as High as 22, but realistcally average is 17 ,18 degrees gets cool at night though. Malta is really quiet in the winter cold as well. Rhodes & Crete even colder. When are you looking at getting away. I have a one bed apartment, lounge and bathroom €200 for the week or €250 B&B basis.

Here is the wifes shed, so if you fancy a bit of winter sun for €200 a week or on a B&B basis for €250 send me a pm. I will even share my porridge with VNA if he fancies a wee break. Big Grin
Full gas central heating in winter and cooling fans in the summer.
