Swing arm
#1
Hi,  Does anybody know what Fazer this swing arm came from?  Only asking because the front chain guard mount is missing or do you think it's snapped off.

Thanks

It does look like an FZS600 swing arm.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Agreed, the ugly wheel spindle slot indicates it's off one of ours

Stored at the bottom of a pond?

The dirty swinging arm in the photo looks like it is from a 1998-2001 Fazer 600, but with the chain guard front mounting missing. If broken you should be able to see the remains of it where it was welded on. If cut off and cleaned up in the past you may not see evidence due to the corrosion etc.
For your information the hole in the rear bracket on the 1998-2001 models is 160mm from the back of the swinging arm and 20mm up from the top face.
On the 2002-2003 (Foxeye) models the hole in rear bracket is 120mm from the back and 50mm high.
Hence chain guards or huggers are not directly interchangeable.

Thanks Limax2 for the info.

I was going to clean this up and paint it satin black to see what it looked like on the bike, instead of using me existing swing arm.  I can still do it but without a chain guard.

I'd just do it too. Might as well, huh? Easier with a hugger, just miss off the front mount, and make sure it's secure on the other side. (and the answer - it looks MUCH better satin black, mine is)
