interested in the music apps mentioned but can I download these for my phone free?
mate in work pays for spotify and seems able to listen to anything he wants, I'd like to do that safely but for free

These are all for a windows pc.
To do what you want; try the YouTube app.

YouTube us surprisingly good for music.

There is a free version of Spotify for mobiles and tablets, although they've put weird limits on certain things to encourage you to buy the full version, but it still works fine.
Saying that, I just use the radio stations on there, which are good for me at work.
You can make up your own playlists as well though.
Also, you can choose an artist of your choice, create a radio station and it will play similar music as well as chucking in songs by your artist quite frequently.  Smile

A good alternative to Spotify that a few friends use is Deezer Smile

watch youtube on my laptop but aint got much data on the moby and no work wifi so need a free way of listening to and saving music on the moby

Grooveshark.com is pretty good. Like spotify but no limits or ads.
