Computer and chili tech camera problem.
#1
I have one of those cheap chili tech cameras on my fazer that has worked ok for about a year and now I am having a strange problem with. If I import the videos to my laptop some of the videos play perfectly using windows media player but some videos will not play at all and I get the message that the format is not recognised. I have tried using the HP videosmart program supplied with my laptop but I just get the same message.
Anyone know how to get round this? ( bearing in mind my computer skills are getting pushed to the limit just importing videos).

try using this to play videos instead(Windows movie player always wants codecs etc)

Second that recommendation. If anything can play the format vlc can.

Microsoft and apple players tend to support only a limited number of formats which they want to promote, usually because they have some interest. Third party players generally more capable.

whenever I upload a clip onto youtube it always says format not recognised but finds a way to upload it but it takes 10 mins to do 1 min? I find this a bit strange as my Kodak C140 has a Youtube upload sticker on it? or is it me?

If your PC complains about some of the clips but plays others it may be that the SD card has some duff sections.

I always use VLC for videos, it plays anything.  Get it here, top link.
