Trying to work out if i can squeeze a FZ6 into my garage next to my Mazda 6, I've read on wikipedia that the width is 29.5 inches but as could someone do me a favour and tell me the width at the front (guessing handbars are the widest part) and the width of the rear of it please.

I've lined my garage walls with carpet but its gonna be tight i think as only got about 25 inches at the rear in clearance  (lots at front) unless im brave parking the car closer to other wall.

Im guessing the height of 47.6 inches is to top of  a standard wind shield. ?

Cheers for any info

I'm with the lads on this. When we bought our new house with garage, she seemed to get excited. Not sure why she would get excited about me wanting a second bike. Oh, do you think she wanted to keep her car in there?! Oh no, no no no. Definitely not.

Bit of a delay answering, probably sorted by now and this is just a quick measurement with the bike on the centre stand and based on the FZ6 S2.

The measurements may be quarter to half of an inch out as I was in a rush so gone for the higher one.

Front end

Bars - 29"
Mirrors - 32" (That is with the mirrors extended, not sure about the other FZ6's but on mine they can be folded in against the fairing)
Fairing Height - 50"

Back End

Indicator to Indicator - 32"

That's ok Merl, was a quick job as the bike was out as I had an appointment so wasn't my normal OCD style of measuring it 12 times just to be sure just the once or maybe twice  :rolleyes
