Squiffy rear end on my fazer 1000
#1
Hi all, I was out yesterday and the rear end on my fazer felt a bit wayward. Might just be greasy roads but it's a pr3 tyre at 41 psi and plenty of tread.
When I got back I tried looking for worn bearings etc. The only play I found was in the shock linkage somewhere. When I lift the back of the swing arm up and down I have a slight movement. Is this normal. I replaced all the linkage bearings last year when I put the r6 shock and replacement dog bones on.

You running solo or two-up / loaded? What's your front tyre pressure?

I had my bike running 36F/42R, and it were horrible, taking it down to 33F /36R improved things immensely; at 41 / 42psi, it can be quite amazing the difference in tyre warm-up times.

36 front, solo and I am 16 1/2 stone. Also preload was up a couple of clicks on the rear shock from std as I used to be way heavier and I haven't took that off again yet.
Also the forks have been raised through the yokes by 10 mm.
This all felt fine last year but now I'm lighter it needs softening off at the back.
