F*@!king Bristol Weather...
#1
Since I moved back I don't recall seeing a full day of half decent weather! Its ridiculous! Made even worse by the fact that it taunts and teases you

Woke up about 45 minutes ago, lovely sun, bright skies, no clouds to be seen. Got in the shower about 20 mins ago, all still fine. Get out of shower and now I can't see a single bit of blue sky and its throwing it down with rain... well and truly ruined my biking plans for today

AARARARHGHGHGHGHG!! Fucking weather.

Note: I swear its like this all year round and I had a few nice days in Hertfordshire last week so I know its possible this time of year!!

Rant. Over.

... for now.

Just as long as it stays fine on Xmas eve as I'm riding up to my mother's place in Clifton Smile

Weather's lovely here in Weymouth. Unfortunately, I'm stuck at the ferry terminal, waiting for the fucking ferry! ARGH!!!

If any locals want to see my new ZX and chew the cud, I'm in the ferry terminal!!  :lol

Bristol weather is awful, I've never lived anywhere where it rains so much. However there are very fw days over the winter when it's too cold to ride.

This is true, it has less of the extremes of temperature but makes up for it by being consistently wet... not quite as bad as Wales, but almost...

No sooner had I posted this thread it decided to revert back to clear skies. So kitted up and figured if I get wet, I get wet and ended up in Weymouth to the surprise of Christo Tongue

I experienced similar circumstances when living in Essex - hotter summer, colder winter and a lot less rain...

Don't get me wrong, I actually quite like Bristol... just not the weather...

You can't let rain put you off. A set of cheapy plastic trousers and jacket and you're dry

True, but its not just the being wet part - its the mist on the visor, the rain drops obscuring vision (on the visor and mirrors), the slipperyness of the tarmac... it generally isn't an especially nice experience. I ride through it when I have to, but its usually enough for me to not go out if I was planning on it if its heavy and consistent
