:'( :'( :'( If I had any luck atall it would be bad. Went to look at bike at which point woman says she has made a mistake and bike has done 40000 not 4000 miles new I was screwed. She then says local bike shop says she is selling too cheap after she has been in there to get a battery,I guess she told them 4000 as well. The bike is scruffy badly corroded fork sliders, corroded fork stanchions and chain, no battery, no mot ,no tax needs a service, stood on tyres for 2years, told her £800 was ample, she thinks it's worth more. You win hardly any and lose loads. Suicidal, despairing lol.
Cheers Dave

Hey Dave...take a long look outside mate......it's foccin raining!!!!!!....no good time ti be riding bikes anyways!!!
& you came to the right place......keep looking & learning & being a wannabe foccer & soon enough a nice bike with good history will just pop up outta the blue.....& better still if someone on here sells it then you can check out the history or generally whether it was owned by someone who gives a foc.
Lets face it by coming on here you already know more about the fazer than some fazer owners themselves so count yur blessings & your money thats still in yur wallet & get cracking on.
Plenty fish in the sea & the sea smells :faz Y
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike
At 40000 if it hasn't been looked after properly then there'll be quite a few things to sort out, so £800 is about right.
The mileage itself is of no concern at all.

Know what you mean mate, just that I had built myself up,should've known better at my age. :\

Typical, good job you went to look at it before agreeing anything though!
Some say...
you need to look at these bikes to know what a good un is

....as the saying goes...never buy the first one you look at
One, is never going to be enough.....
Most of us have double standards re mileage, I'm happy to own one at 38000 but I would not buy one
Also check the fairing infills line up properly, can be a sign of of a crashed bike

Depends how much info you can get hold of i s'pose, there's bikes on this forum that i know just as well as my own, so you know that they've been looked after and 40k would certainly not be any problem at all.
Unfortunately we're not privy to this sort of info elsewhere so it is all a bit of a risky business.

Hi all, the point with this bike was it was not as described because the person selling probably like most of us with our property put an unrealistic value on the bike. 40000 would not be a problem if it had been obvious the bike had been cared for, sad to say the bike was untidy. Its just a shame people can't be more honest with themselves.
All the best Dave.
