Nick I'm crap at anything IT related, but I googled free photo resizer, and got a lite version that works perfectly. Can't remember the name of it and don't use the laptop now just the iPad so dunno what it's called but there's lots mate

Try this natty bit of software.
Will resize single photos or do batches to verious sizes. http://pixresizer.en.softonic.com/ I've used it for years and is very easy to use. Alternatively Adobe Photoshop has a similar batch handling engine.
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Cheers Kosmic, but before I try it, I do have a photobucket account. Pics come up size 1024 x 768 or thereabouts in resize window, anybody know what kind of dimensions I need to go down to, to get photos accepted? Sorry, I am the techno-dimwit I appear to be :rolleyes

If i want to resize 1 or 2 pics i use MS paint. just open the picture, Go to 'resize' and i tend to do 50%. you can specify pixels but you may mess the ratio up.
Also the added bonus is most cameras capture n raw and are fairly large. simply opening them and saving them will compress them. for doing batches of pics I use this app http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDownload.htm
Lord,
Grant me the WD-40 to move those things that are stuck, the Duck tape to fasten those things that are loose, And the wisdom to know the difference. Amen

I found if I reset the pixels on one dimension, it automatically resets the other, retaining the original ratio. I also made sure to create a copy to edit, in case there's ever any reason to use the original size.

Opinions are like A**holes, Everyone has one. Some people seem to have more than one though which is a bit odd.
