Alright Pete, long time no post (it's taken this long for anything to inspire me to post anything on this new board - you're the 'lucky' recipient of post number 1
![]() Me and son have weekend tickets, but unfortunately won't be camping, was all full up by the time I got around to booking up, so it's a 50 mile commute to and from my bro-in-law's each day of the weekend. Will keep an eye out for you, should be easy to spot you with the smallish attendance there's likely to be this weekend ![]()

Hey mike how's tricks.
heck of a long time mate. Sat at Nuffield As I type this watching history being made. Marques is something special Best get there early tomorrow chaps This place is rammed. Most I have seen for Qualifying by a huge margin.

Apart from FP2 on Friday afternoon, me and my son were in Luffield grandstand on a roving ticket all weekend. Ralphie was on the terrace, and by the sound of it you weren't far away either. Maybe we'll get organised and meet up next time there's 3 foccers in such close proximity :rollin
My first GP since Assen 2005 and first in GB since Silverstone 82 - certainly chose a good one to go to, and the right place to be on Sunday - the atmosphere in there was awesome as Scott came round to take the win, and *those two passes* right in front of us - brilliant. Might even go again next year. Have to be camping though - travelling there and back each day took it out of me big time

camping was mega, never done it before but will be doing from now on.
we moved to vale after not being able to get in the stands (big mistake) If you buy your tickets now you can get reserved grandstands free which I will be doing shortly. your welcome to join us next year mike. great entertainment in the campsite. even the airhorns at 5.30 and someone pulling my mate out of is tent shouting cock a doodle do (funny as fook) didn't bother me :rollin

Forming plans for next year, looks like we'll be camping this time, so I reckon we'll see you there :thumbup .
One little question, though - been hearing a lot about car parking charges (didn't affect us this time cos went on the bike) - presumably you didn't have to pay any extra for having the car on the campsite? (probably daft question, but like to cover all possibilities)
17-09-13, 08:03 PM
well the way I read it mike' is that there is no roving grandstand on sunday only Friday and Saturday and you have to book the stand for sunday of your choice. not that it will bother me a lot because I will pick the ducati stand at luffield.
looked at the car parking and it seems you have to have 4 tickets for the weekend camping or pay £25 for parking. that seems well wrong to me as I had car parking free by just ordering my ticket for this years, will check some more and let you know.
17-09-13, 08:19 PM
well I just preliminary booked my ticket just for me and parking was included yet on the previous page it says 4 people to gain free parking.
I will ring them tomorrow and find out.

where's the bastid edit button!
so this is what it says on the web site. Camping (3 Day Tickets Only):Weekend camping is available for holders of 3 day tickets only. One campsite car pass will be assigned free of charge for every four camping tickets purchased. You will be given the opportunity to purchase additional car passes on the next screen if required. A mix of permanent and temporary facilities providing toilets, showers and shop provisions are available.

Cheers, Pete - I read that as if you book up to 4 camping tickets, you'll get one car parking ticket; over 4 and you'd be entitled to more. Only two of us going, so that should get us a parking ticket, and as long as it does, I'm in.
Think I'll give them a call, though, just make sure - can't stand it when people stitch you up with poorly worded descriptions.
