Parking question.
#1
Apologies for this, but I'm not used to parking in unknown places and have a massive paranoia of leaving the bike in an illegal place.

I'll be leaving the bike next to the pole from 6:30pm till about 11pm, is this OK according to the restrictions?

I'm sure it's fine but just wanted to check.

Yes that's fine, the plate shows when restrictions are in force for a cpz (controlled parking zone), so parking after 6.30 is fine.
Loading/ unloading is still permissible during these times but if you get ticketed you'd need proof that is what you was doing ie a job sheet with addresses times and signatures!

Cheers, dude...I thought it was OK but thanks for confirming.

P.S. I still can't get my head round those scorch marks on Cally Rd!  :b

Another one along the same lines...

I'm not used to driving in London but due to a navigational error our little group recently found ourselves in Central London at 8PM on Friday on a rather busy bank holiday weekend!

We ended up using the bus lanes a lot, but I was really worried about fines (although looks like we got away with it).

Regarding this sign:

Can someone just confirm that if it shows that Buses, Motorcycles and Cycles ARE allowed in during the hours shown, then what about outside of those hours?

Does it then become a regular lane which all traffic is allowed in, or does it revert back to buses only?

Thanks, Andy

It is only a Bus Lane between 7am and 7pm. Outside of those hours any vehicle can use the lane.

..just to clarify - if there's a pic of a bike you can use your bike on it anytime.
Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

Yes Buses, Motorcycles, cycles and taxies are aloud during times shown.
Out side the times all can use the lane
Where day is not specified e.g. Sunday all can use lane at any time.
Lane reverts back to its restrictions Mon to Sat between the hours shown 7am to 7pm

If anyone looks into doing an advanced driving car test you will actually fail if you don't use the lane when allowed to do so as this is seen that you're not paying attention to road signs!
