Flew back from the eldest sons rugby tour last night (another very long story) and got to Gatwick at 1:20am. After the obligatory 3mile walk to immigration we find the queue is massive. Only half the desks open and takes 40 minutes to get through the feccin thing.
Surely its no surprise that the summer schedules have started and people will be arriving in the country. FFS, sort your act out.
IT was quicker for a south African travelling with us to get into MY country. It was quicker for a bloody foreigner to get in. No wonder we have so many bleeding immigrants here when they can get in easier than us!

I used to do a LOT of travelling through work and to various countries. I expect to wait in LONG queues for an excessive length of time (China was the worst)
what I detested was (especially at Heathrow) standing in a huge queue with 1/2 operatives on and looking over at the "foreigners" desks - usually manned with 5 or 6 people and watching that queue shrink quicker than ours.

just done Miami , 3 hours and you had to push in or would have got nowhere, felt sorry for the people with no bollocks to shove in, I have never done this before but its the only way, the staff are total wankers and I really wanted to head butt the prick.

Taylor/Laz - In the examples you gave, you were the foreigner trying to get into a country and that is sort of acceptable. My gripe is that all the EU tw@ts all now join the same queue as us Brits trying to get into OUR OWN bloody county and have to wait feccin ages when some complete foreigner (South African in my example) can get in quicker than me!

My mate recently came back from Cancun where they have a traffic light system for checking folk going out of the country for contraband, AK 47's etc.
You walk up to customs, press a button and if the traffic light goes red, pulled over and everything checked!
OK, it's not the same as getting into the UK but interesting system and totally random for checking.

no m8 - the experiences at Heathrow were for me coming back INTO the UK and witnessing foreigners getting through passport control quicker than I can.
getting into other countries I understand (Im the foreigner) but coming into the UK I would expect some priority
