The worm drive is on the later FZ6 isn't it?

Turns out it was the seal between the wheel and the speedo unit. It was turning with the unit, rather than the wheel. That was the part that was greased, that was the wozzit that cured the squeak.

I'm pretty damn sure one of the first things I said was to check the speedo (after I said bearings) - you will listen to me one day

I did check it! The seating was fine, the bugger was bone dry! A completely different issue!  :lol

"I did check it" and "the bugger was bone dry" are contradictory statements If it was bone dry you should have lubed it you nut
