Only white and amber lights allowed on the front according to MOT, and the cops can dish out a ticket for it, so best bet is to stick to white.

There are quite a few cars around here that the owners are trying to modify that have blue led's,,but the old bill seem to pull them on noisy pipes, known a few people to get asbo's :rollin due to being loud!

I hate the blue light thing, I think it takes the edge of the effect of the real emergency services blue lights, I often catch a glimpse of blue light in my mirror and start to take actions to let an emergency vehicle pass, I do plan a head so perhaps others do not have this problem. But still I think blue lights deserve that special use only.

It's those dichroic headlight filters that really annoy me, they break the beam up into separate colours so can actually flash red and blue as the angle changes... does a pretty convincing impersonation of a police car behind you. :eek

I had a little chat with the bloke who's gonna test my bike,he would fail it straight away :eek blue bulbs so standard bulbs are back in,but gave my bike a quick look over while i was there, checked tyres & chain & was happy with them,so fingers crossed there is nothing wrong when he checks it tomorrow!!

I've just fitted yellow lens covers over the headlights, it's made a hell of a difference on the motorway, when filtering cars seem to move over a lot more than they used too. Even behind fast lane hoggers after a while they move over. The only bad point is that they are slightly less bright but worth it.

I seem to recall a chat with my MOT tester and he said that the bulbs will pass an MOT as the MOT does not state the colours for sidelights. Didn't seem right to me as construction and use legislation says about blue lights only for emergency services, no red light to the front, white light to the back etc.
