I want to use to use my phone as a satnav by mounting it on the handlebars, there's plenty of kit available on the net but I was wondering what others have tried? I want to keep the phone dry and charged but not too bothered about listening to the directions.

I got a drycase on mines.. Its phone model specidic and can be mounted in varios ways like bar mount. Stem mount or yolk mount. I got mines on the handlebar yolk.. A mains charger can be bought too to run off the bike battery..
Cant recal the make.. Ill check tonight when home..

What sorta phone you got DryRob?
Dont UltimateAddOns do universal cases too? not as neat as a model specific case but better than nowt..
Other thing is your on about using the Satnav on it? how you plan to listen to it? I tried standard music headphones at first but found them a pain to keep in.. a set of helmet speakers worked better but they were a cheap set and sound wasnt great on them, a bit on the quiet side really..
Ended up fitting a Scala Rider 4 Bluetooth set to the helmet and use the bluetooth to link to the phone for SatNav or music etc.. hunt about on ebay for deals on those if you wanna go down that route.. I got a twin pack for £130 so the second set went on the wifes helmet for when shes on..
Of coarse if your not wanting to hear the SatNav that last lots all mute (pun intended) :b

Yeah they do universal mounts so I've gone for one of those, just waiting for an adapter so I can charge the phone as I use the GPS. I'm only going to be using it as a guide to be honest, I don't mind getting lost if I'm on a good road and heading in the right general direction.
