Bought this tonight, well chuffed, only thing is, I need to pass my test! So the old man is taking it back to his while I wait for my test date next week.
Itchy feet, and palms, want to get on the road! Will no doubt post more over the coming weeks...
Is it hard to change the ignition barrel? Its not nackered just requires a certain knack to do it, which I will probably learn but it might be worth swapping out...
congrats, I got my bike before passing my test too, the dealer held it until the day I passed, passed before midday 13/6/2012 and bike delivered by 6pm, much to the other halfs delight (not).
Good luck with test, don't panic and relax. It's not as bad as you think it will be, just do your homework before you go.
Shame you bought a slow one though - still, as a first bike, I guess it will do till you can get a faster one (that'll be black, don't let the jokers on here try and tell you otherwise!)
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - strawberries in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming - WOO HOO! What a Ride!"
I'm sure it will be fine, daft as it seems been practising observations and lifesavers in the car and while commuting on the push bike!
b3tarev3, just noticed it used to be yours... please tell me it was well looked after!! It seemed it when I was looking at it, runs smoooth as well, and my dad rode it, said it was nice...
I traded it in, in May this year with a bike shop in Bradford, have been watching their site to see how much they sold it for but it never came up. Presumed cos it was such a nice bike that they took it for themselves.
If it's not been ragged since May you got yourself a very nice bike there, i put a new gear box in it due to it jumping out of second gear. Since then it's done two tours of Scotland with me on board and the old girl never missed a beat.

Glad I've got a good one... I don't think its been used much, its got circa 32k on the clock now. The fella I bought it off has links to webuyanybike.com who he got it off. I bought it for £1250 it was advertised for £1390. Did it have a crack in the fairing on the right side when you had it? That was the only thing wrong with it, can't wait to get it on the road.

Here's hoping this is the start of the summer!
Yeah, that crack on the rhs of the fairing has always been there - can't really see it so it never bothered me. You really have bought a cracking bike, engine is as sweet as a sweet thing
I wanted it to go to a good home and now it looks like it's found one - wish i'd not god rid now :\ . If you have any questions about the bike just ask.
Cheers Tiberius, I'll try that first before changing the barrel.
b3tarev3 - I'll look after it well and will be active on here, you can buy it back if I ever decide to move on!
The big question is... what did you trade it in for?!
Its going to be living in my dads garage until I pass my test - fingers crossed next week - then will be moving a little bit further down the m62 to Leeds.
Thanks for the comments guys, and I'm glad it turned out to be a positive "I owned that bike" rather than "oh no you haven't!!"!!
Cheers Daniel! I can, however, read so that wasn't a surprise!
I was only asking about the bike, as I don't really want to know how much it was traded in for, its always loads less than is paid when its re-sold. I don't really mind to be honest, its within my budget and its a great bike.
i was trying to be cheeky rather than offensive, so i apologise! I sold a scooter to a trader, and would love to know the markup, although at the same time, don't want to know as I'll probably be annoyed!
Anyway, it must nice to know the former owner, and that's it's been looked after well. Enjoy the bike! I haven't picked mine up yet, but this time next week it'll be all mine!
sorry mate, I was trying to be cheeky back, lost in the typing I guess!!
I know what you mean though, my missus traded in her mini convertible when we found out she was pregnant, the dealer was so full of shit it was unbelievable! He said he would put £500 on it and sell it, not that I cared (or believed him) but when I drove past the dealer the next time he had put it up for £1800 over our trade in!! The missus didn't want me to tell her how much it was up for so she still doesn't know!
Hope you enjoy yours when you get it, betting the weather is going to be a bit better for riding down there in Brighton than sunny Yorkshire!!
