I test rode  a street triple R a week ago and I reckon it has the best handling / ride combo of any bike I have ridden.Have not ridden the F800R but it has to be very very good to trounce the street. Its probably a grand more expensive too.
I was thinking that by now you would be able to pick up a decent second hand bike for a good price now as they have been out a few years now.

Just looked it up....BMW F800R has max bhp of 87......street triple is 108.....BIG deficcit to start with.

If you compare to standard street triple the BMW price is basic £7150....street triple 6800 with £300 free accessories included.

Triumph triples are perhaps the best compromise of smoothness and torque you'll ever find, especially the latest street triple it's superb. Have you seen how small it is for a 1000+cc bike?  Excellent!  There are blokes that have had lots of new bikes but can't get on with them for one reason or another, like this fella who pretty much tells it like it is.
