K&N Airfilter increasing horsepower?
#1
I am just about to replace my stock Airfilter with a K&N filter which promises to increase horsepower by up to 4%. Can anyone tell me or does anyone know if this claim is true, will there be any improvement in horse power or is this impossible on a standard setup?

You're unlikely to get any big numbers unless your current filter is really blocked but a K&N does really improve mid-range pull and you will definately notice the difference....I was quite surprised when I fitted mine

its only an air filter! i cant see it making much of a difference. and i dont think ur average rider can notice minor improvements in mid range or whatever. i'd say its more in ur head than anything. sure im fairly certain my bike feels a bit quicker after i've given it a good clean  :lol

unsure about extra horses (well not that you'd notice an increase so low) but theres definately noticable mid range  :evil
