ANY WIRELESS TV DONGLE EXPERTS HERE??????
#1
Bought a WLAN USB STICK for my Samsung TV, mainly because ALL the reviews said it worked straight out of the box???

Now been trying for 3 DAYS to get it connected :'(  No joy with the WPA auto connect.

For one brief moment it said "trying to connect to your Windows Media player" but that message disappeared before I could press OK

The closest I get now is    "Physical connection established but not connected. Check your TV or connected device"    ???????

I am sure it is some simple check box I have not found.

Any Foccers had experience???????????
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!

that kind of error message is usually due to having the wrong WPA password.
double check your password and make sure if you are entering it from the remote control that you are putting any numbers or capital letters in correctly

Finally solved the problem. I think there was a conflict of IP address as the dongle and laptop were both trying to access the same one. When I connected the laptop with an ethernet cable and the dongle wirelessly, it worked. Big Grin

Now I have to work out how to stream movies ???????

Go into the setup of your wireless access point (router) and you should be able to force certain MAC addresses to always use the same IP address.  I had to do it with an IP phone to stop it trying to grab the same IP address as something else.  Your best bet is to set it somewhere right at the top of the allowed addresses, 192.168.1.245 or similar.
