I ride in a arai chaser(mid of the range helmet) and a arai tour x 3(think long way down or round with ewan and charley). Both helmets work brilliantly especaily the vents, the pinlocks and the comfort!!. Bloody love them!!! Big Grin

I have a Shoei which cost me 550 quid (in a sale, no kidding). I'd just received a bonus from work and splashed out on it. It's 'good' but I'd never spend that again on a lid.

Unfortuanately the only helmets that fit my tiny head is arai, all the other makes were too tight, wrong shape or give me a terrible headache!! :'( :'( :'(

My current one is a Caberg V2. Great in summer with all the vents and the inner dark visor that flips down Top-Gun style. In winter it's not so good despite fogging up far less than any other full face helmet I've ever had... it manages this by being very draughty, the cold blasts of air make my eyes water like mad and that then gets sprayed around and onto the inside of the visor. :'(

I have a shoei xr 1100 conquista. Also fitted th addon nose cone. that with the pinlocks and the thing never mists up.  Big Grin
I think it is mainly what shape your head is for what lid is best. i found arai and agv etc. squeeze my cheeks.
Lord,
Grant me the WD-40 to move those things that are stuck, the Duck tape to fasten those things that are loose, And the wisdom to know the difference.

Someone sent me a postcard picture of the earth. On the back it said, "Wish you were here."

Had the predecessor, the "Konda", for a year and been very pleased with it.
Hit the side of my head on a car roof at 30mph and it stood up to it perfectly. Chin guard remained fully locked and I came out of it fine.
Paramedics even complimented the ratchet strap (which also held fine) as it allowed the chin strap to be unfastened super-fast without fiddling with d-rings and risking unwanted head movement.
Replaced it through the insurance with the Duke now and even happier still, especially with the extra features (pinlock as standard, dual homologation so you can ride legally with the flip up).
Now also fancy the full face Caberg Ego with the sunroof for mega ventilation. Great looking again with a cracking write up from webbikeworld.com.
The fact that you can, doesn't always mean you should.

I NEVER watch Emergency Bikers for the emergencies...

Lazer are good. Especially with light sensitive visor. Love it.

I've had 3 Shoeis in recent years, the Raid 2, XR1000 & Qwest and then this year switched to an Arai Quantum.

Arai has better, deeper paint and feels slightly more premium. It has a smaller outer size which is why I switched from Shoei as the Qwest's chin bar used to snag on my shoulders when doing lifesavers! Shame as the Shoeis were lighter, quieter and had better visors. Having said that, I'm happy with my Arai, fav has to be the xr1000 though.
