hi all, just had to share the news. Just bought a gen1 Fazer thou. getting it delivered next Saturday but can't ride yet due to a broken wrist from my last bike!
I'm sure it will be worth the wait. Had a Fazer 600 a few years ago and am looking forward to coming home
welcome and good choice hope ya heal soon
Welcome,
Don't worry, there's plenty for you to be reading about whilst you're healing.
You'll be riding and making a wish list before you know it :lol
Welcome and HNY
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad
Hi Good choice of machine. I have had Gen1 Fazer since 2002. Any info I will gladly pass on if I can help. Good Luck and a Happy New Year.

thanks guys. it seems to be pretty sorted with an Ivans kit already fitted and a scorpion exhaust as well as a number of modifications including fairing lowers and a belly pan with a fiat Yamaha paint job.
I'm hoping to take it for a ride out on Sunday to celebrate 6 weeks since breaking my wrist and having it pinned and plated - I'll just not have to use full throttle!!
that'll be the one! I knew someone here would have seen it. looks good in the flesh with a good quality paint job.
seemed a really nice guy. He didn't mention the rear so am not sure if it is standard now or not. Will check at the weekend when he delivers it.
Loads of little bits done on it to make it a good un' too.
yep look at one of the pics (exhaust side view) you can see the ohlins shock pre-load adj attached to the rear footrest hanger and you can just make the gold ohlins shock, and the other pics dont show this, so he may have taken this off to sell separate as that shock retails @ over 1k now or if he brought the bike like this he may have used the same pics from the previous purchase .
But there's no harm asking about the shock.
Tar luke, i tried to copy and paste, but when i previewed there was no pics!!
B1 if get no joy with the shock and you want to replace it with something thats been given the thumbs up by many happy punters, luke(devilsyam) is the man to talk to.
Iis the standard shock that noticable that it needs replacing?
I am a fairly sporty rider but imagine the Fazer will be infinitely better in the handling dept. than my Aprilia Caponord.
I do a fair bit of two-up riding too wth the good lady on board so imagine I'll be sourcing the site for upgrade advice.
in the words of a bad-ass Harley rider "I'll be back..."
